IPS is an environmental service orientated company providing essential service’s to a wide section of the commercial and industrial sectors, many of which are highly regulated and have set stringent standards of quality. We at IPS are SAPCA accredited and keep up to date with the requirements of each sector so that we can successfully meet the stipulated standards of quality whilst keeping within the organizations regulations

IPS ’s range of services includes basic onsite inspections (and recommendations); pest prevention; fumigation; air and sea freight; sanitation; safety audits and technical support. IPS is extremely ‘Green’ conscious and the company has made an intensive effort to reduce the use of pesticides which can be harmful to the environment. This has been achieved through the development and implementation of an eco-friendly pest prevention program, which involves great emphasis on aspects such as hygiene, and proofing in conjunction with the use of non-insecticidal products such as trapping devices and monitoring systems. Though many pest control companies make this promise, we at IPS have included it in our mission statement and have employed staffs who are constantly working on new and innovative ways to eliminate pests with minimum impact our environment.

The IPP (Integrated Pest Programmed) approach and the development of industry specific programs have enabled IPS to secure contracts with a large scale of businesses in order to assist them in keeping up with the health and safety regulations within the country and internationally. Our reputation of striving for service excellence whilst providing highly competitive rates has given us a foothold in the industry.

At IPS we understand that conditions vary from company to company, hence we address each problem systematically, originally and professionally to inevitably eradicate the problem. Some case’s are more severe than other’s and pest activity is already at its highest peak, however IPS is confident in our staff and their ability to apply their accumulated knowledge, experience and skills and we can therefore say that we will successfully manage any pest related problems.  To us, each client is not just a number on a file, we provide you with the service you deserve – a service with a ‘personal touch’. A specific technician is appointed on each job file and it becomes solely his responsibility , this simply means that he can familiarize himself with your company and all its problem areas – from years in this industry , we have come to realization that our clients prefer one set technician in comparison to being sent a different technician every month . Research shows that this is due to two factors – 1, that it is an inconvenience to clients to constantly have to show technicians around, and 2, that it becomes almost impossible to develop a level of trust and grow a relationship with a technician.  Our technicians are easily reachable on mobile phones should you require urgent information or have a query. We prefer to work hand in hand with the respective organization in our mutual endeavor to eliminate the problem – we therefore believe that ‘good communication channels’ is an essential tool and we keep the client in the loop at all times.

 Growth through service

IPS’s policy of growing company owned operations helps ensure a consistent level of high quality service in all our markets. The branch is locally managed by personnel who are highly experienced and competent in the field. Clients have direct access to management, and we have taken all measures to ensure that this is not a difficult task for the client. We are customer orientated and a huge aspect of our company’s objectives is to maintain a 99.5% customer service rating. All staff work on a performance based salary structure with customer service ratings (CSR) forming a major criteria on this scale. The implementation of this structure has made it possible for management to closely monitor the level of service our customers are receiving, and address defaults in a constructive manner ensuring that the service will improve to meet our customer’s expectations going forward. Because our sales staff is the first point of contact to prospective clients, they are sent through an in-depth in-house training session with a required 98% pass prior being employed permanently at our company. All technical staff is highly trained and have qualifications related to the pest control and environmental science field’s .Our belief is that top quality service and results can only be achieved through individuals who possess the correct tools. We thus strive to give all our staff the excellent practical and technical skills that they require in this industry. We do however have strict employment policies which are carried out by our expert Human Recourses department. This involves accurately screening all possibly candidate’s prior employment ensuring that they meet all our criteria, as well as possesses good integrity and communication skills which we deem necessary in this industry.  IPSprides it self on keeping in line with  any advancements or progress’s in the industry and we therefore go one step further by registering our employees regularly to obtain more advanced qualifications in the field (this includes technical staff, as well as management)

 Integrated pest management

Up until the 1970’s, the pest control industry relied almost exclusively on the routine application of pesticides to control insect pests. With the public’s growing concern over this chemical approach, an alternative Pest Management (I.P.M) system was introduced. The principles used in I.P.M. focus’s on structural changes, improving sanitation and modifying habits and behavioral patterns. Concurrent with the introduction of I.P.M, techniques and equipment were being developed which enabled skilled operators to totally eliminate insect pests. This was in response to the demand for a pest free environment within commercial industries such as hospitals, hotels, restaurants, and food processing/ warehouse establishments. IPS’s use of this I.P.M. system, in conjunction with our own eco-friendly methods and our exceptional service has assisted us in setting the bench mark in the pest control industry.
